Member Setup
Member Group
You can setup as many Member Group for different level of prices as you wish. You can assign the customer to any group to view that price level. Once you set up a new group, you can add the group price at the item setup.
Ex. You can set up Prcie1, Price2 and Price3 groups. When setting up an item, you can add different prices for different Price group. Then assign which price group for the customer at the member profile. The customer can only view that assigned prices. By default, the customer can view the regular price.

The customer/member has to provide the following information at the registration:
Email Address
Password
Name
Phone
Address: Street, City, State/Province, Zip/Postal Code, Country

You can also require more information and add control to the customer/member sign up
simply enabling the following fileds:
Fax Number Contact Name Title Other Email Other Phone Website Tax Number Owner Description
If you do not allow members to change their profiles, you must check the "Member can't edit profile" box. |
During the checkout process, an account is established for each new customer. When a first time visitor makes a purchase on your site, they will be prompted for their email address, and for a unique password. When your customer returns to your storefront in the future, to place another order or to check order status, they can simply login with their password.
Member Signup (Available in the Version With Wholesale/Distribution system)
Distributors may require merchants to sign up an account and login before they can view prices and place orders.

Sign Up Type:
Manual Activate Confirm: You need to manually activate the members' account after they've signed up.
Auto Activate: Members can immediately login after they've signed up for an account.
Send to: Enter the email to receive the notice of Manual Active Sign Up. |
Email Address
The customer's email address also serves as their login username.
Password
The customer's password must be at least 6 characters in length. The password is used to login to the website and view the order history and change the profile. The password is encrypted in the database, do not edit the password using your own software as this may corrupt the password. Only use Admin to add or change passwords.
Billing Address
The billing address is saved in the database in the customer's account record. The billing address appears (as it appears in their account) will also be shown in their Order Summary. You can search for existing customers by their name, email address, phone number, or zip code. You can add or edit customers in Admin, see "Customers" heading. You can delete customers, however there cannot be any orders in the database for the customer. To delete a customer, first delete each order.
Price Type
If you have set up different member group, you can assign the customer to a specific price level from the Price Type drop down box.
Order History
The order history will be shown at the bottom of the customer profile.
Activate
You can activate or de-activate the member account.
Search
There is an internal search for customer.
Add New
You can add customer profile. If you have the Membership module, the sign up customer will be sent by email and you can manually enter a new merchant and assign the member group.
Delete
You cannot delete a customer with order records. You have to delete all orders before you can delete a customer. |
