Specify which items are designated as featured in the item's setup page.
2.

Here you can specify how many featured items per page, and how they are shown (how many columns). You can specify this for your website's left and right columns, as well as a different setting for the middle (main) column.
3.
You can also specify what elements appear with the featured items, for example you do not have to display all of the item's information, you could just show the image, and a buy now button, etc. Use the Featured Item checkboxes on the General setup page.
4.
You can also define the image size of the Feature items and Randomly Featured Items in the Images below: Randomly Featured Items (RFI)

Item Custom Fields
There are three user defined item fields. You can enable them if you have a different way of classifying your items. To setup or change the name of the custom fields, go to Web, Web Layout, and click on Style Manager in Admin, and choose Form/Field Headings on the left. For more details, please refer to the Using Custom Fields and Style Manager help pages.

Images
To make your products/items appear more consistent, you can enable fixed sizes for images. This setting will force the web browser to resize the Thumbnail images to your specifications. Since most images you upload may have different sizes, this will help give a more professional look to your store.
The image size is defined by the Width x Height. You can also specify one parameter, (Ex. 100 x 0).
If you want to fix the width of the thumbnail image at 120 pixels, set 120 x 0
If you want to fix the height of the thumbnail image at 90 pixels, set 0 x 90
If you want to fix the width and height at 100 x 100 pixels, set 100 x 100. However, if the original image is 400x300, it will be distorted.
Image - Randomly Featured Items

Inventory
eBusiness System tracks current inventory for each item automatically. Each time a shopper purchases an item, the quantity sold is deducted from inventory upon completion of the checkout process.
1.
Inventory - Out of Stock Threshold
This number determines when "out of stock" messages are displayed. If you want eBusiness System to display the message when inventory is low for example, you could set it to a low number such as "5". This is the cut-off point, if inventory for an item goes below the threshold, the out of stock message is displayed. This number can be a positive or negative number.
2.
Inventory - Display Out of Stock & In Stock Messages
This is the On/Off switch for the Out of stock message. When inventory for an item is below the threshold an "out of stock" message can be displayed on the item's detail page. You can customize this message below.
3.
Inventory - Message to Display
This is the text that will appear just below the item's main description. (You can edit the message)
In Stock: Appears through out in stock available
Out of Stock: Appears through for out of stock items
Out of Stock Details: Longer description appears on Item detail page.
4.

5.
Use Pounds (lbs) & Ounces (oz)
The default weight is Kg. The standard weight for shipping calculation is based on kg. When this setting is checked, all weights in eBusiness System & Admin will appear as pounds & ounces (two separate fields).

Item Flags
There are three spots for you to add images displaying together with the item image.
1. New Item Icon:
If you enable the "Show new item icon", set the days to display and upload any image (default image is a New image), the New icon will appear in any new items you entered. It will be disappeared after the set period.
2.

3.
Hot Item Icon
You can enable the "Show hot item icon", upload any image (default image is a Hot image), set how many visits is a hot item (how many click on the item, eg. 5 clicks on this item will show a Hot icon)

Download Method
If you sell downloadable files such as eBook, images and files...etc, you can setup at the item the downloadable item. Here you must specify the technology used during the download process. The "Stream" method is the more secure choice, files are streamed to the web browser and the location of the file cannot be determined by the user. While this is the preferred method for distributing file downloads, it can be problematic with some browsers (depending on the users security & firewall settings). The "Physical Location" method is a traditional way of downloading, a URL to the file is used. When the user clicks a link (or is directed to a specific page), the browser downloads the file on it's own using the real location of the file.

Download Availability
This setting determines when the user can download. When set to "Automatic", downloads are available immediately after an order is placed. This is appropriate when you use Authorize.net, or other real-time processing. It may not be the best choice if you want to verify payments before allowing downloads. Select the "Manual" method to hold downloads until you approve them. To release the user's download, go to the Order in Admin and click the link for "Status/Notes", where you can enable their download.

Email Tell A Friend
The email a friend email should be enabled here. When enabled, the "Email" a friend button will appear on the item's page in the website. To change the text of this or any button, see "Buttons" under Web Design/Buttons/Email to A Friend. You should setup the Name, Email, Subject and the content of this email. You can use the following codes to add in your email message as the system will automatically retreive the information and send with your message.
